Back in 2010 I started a blog and Twitter account to cover my local lower league team, using the data analysis and visualisation skills I’d picked up from my day job. This quickly snowballed into looking at the whole 24-team league, then all 72 clubs in the EFL and eventually football as a whole.
In 2013 it helped me to make the move to sports media as PA’s Head of Data Analysis and to work with a range of people at professional clubs. After a while, the latter overtook the former and a decade later I left to work in football full-time.
I found less and less time to maintain the blog and switched it off altogether out of necessity while I was making the career change. However I’ve missed creating football content and wanted to have an outlet for any projects that I think are worth sharing.
